(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka star Table Tennis Paralympian, Pitiyage Don Silva Deshapriya won a bronze medal at the Asia Para TT Championship 2019 held in Taichung, Chinese Taipei.
In the semi-finals, Deshapriya lost 3-2 to world number 4 seed, Koyo Iwabuchi of Japan. In the earlier matches, Deshapriya won 3-0 against Indonesia, lost 0-3 to Japan, won 3-0 against Korea and in the quarterfinals beat China 3-0.
In 2018, the Sri Lankan TT star secured a gold medal at the Thailand Open (class 9). (DN)
